Eighty-eight percent of NCRI members come from MKO/NLA

After that the anti-democratic and totalitarian nature of NCRI became known and many organisations and individuals withdrew their membership from NCRI, MKO became the sole ruler in NCRI and used this opportunity to directly inject its members in NCRI.

For this purpose, in December 1992 the first phase of this process was done and a list consist-ing of 88 names was issued in the News Bulletin of Mojahedin The then official publication of MKO No. 234 (dated 25 December 1992) as the new members of NCRI. Reviewing the list it becomes clear that members of MKO/NLA were introduced as members of NCRI. In other words, MKO not only took over the total control of NCRI, but its members were introduced as members and officials of NCRI.

In September 1993, Mojahed (the media " mouthpiece "of terrorist MKO) in its no. 316 dated 13 September 1993 announced that at the NCRI session held on 27 August 1993 in Iraq (at Saddam Hussein’s era), the number of NCRI members increased from 109 to 235. On the list of new members one could clearly see that MKO, once again, injected its members in NCRI. Even those new members who were not members of MKO were, if fact, among the staunch sympathizers and supporters of the group.

In this way one of the main purposes of MKO which was to put in place NCRI in a way that every member be of the same thinking as MKO was achieved. In the same meeting Maryam Rajavi61 was appointed as the future President of Iran. Furthermore, Chairpersons of 18 NCRI commissions, most of them from MKO, were designated. This process of increasing the number of NCRI members continued till September 1997. Currently, the number of NCRI members is 554, 486 of whom (i.e. 88 percent) were members of MKO/NLA and the rest who were sympa-thisers and supporters of the group.

In the attached table, the names, the date of membership and the responsibilities of members of NCRI as well as their affiliation with MKO and their positions in MKO are mentioned.
